What AIDE develops.
AIDE develops the conditions for humans working with AI to frame questions, investigate situations, develop durable work, exercise judgment, and direct consequential action. Its work combines research, methods, systems, and knowledge practices.
AIDE Research includes Structured Reasoning, Cognitive Systems Observability, and active implementations. Governed Cognition integrates this work in practice by keeping purpose, authority, evidence, constraints, and revision explicit.

02 / Founder
Rob Hartman
Rob Hartman is the founder of AIDE Enterprises and the originator of its research and institutional practice. Drawing on a background in data analysis, organizational systems, philosophy, teaching, and writing, he investigates how human judgment and AI capability can be combined within explicit, durable structures.
Through sustained human–AI collaboration under his direction, Rob developed Structural Cognition Theory, Structural Cognitive Fields, Cognitive Systems Observability, and the specialized cognitive architectures Roger and Archimedes. He directs AIDE’s research and development from Portland, Maine.
